Barbecue

Other than a couple of sauces and rubs, I’ve not posted about barbecue, mainly because we don’t do a massive amount and often don’t cook the classics: briskets, ribs and pulled pork.

That said, we do cook some and now that Paul’s part of Local Food Heroes – he lives in the home of BBQ, the southern US of A – it’s about time we started!

Equipment-wise, we have a few choices:

Weber 57cm

Great for grilling meat

Weber 47cm

For when there’s just the two of us.

An Ugly Drum Smoker

For slow cooking – can be left to cook all night unattended. A home-built project.

Jumbuck Rotisserie

Great for chicken

Masterbuilt Electric

Good for low-temperature cooking of smoked sausage and lunch meats.
